Over the past years I have learned a lot about miniature painting. I love this hobby (and job) and wanted to pass some of my knowledge on to others, hopefully igniting their passion for this wonderful hobby.
Therefore, I started to give painting classes. Some private, some for and with friends and some at big events throughout the Netherlands and Germany. ALL of them resulted in great fun and it gave me great satisfaction to pass on some of my knowledge and (maybe most important) information about all the mistakes I made during my painting career.
I myself have not stopped to learn and improve. I've had the privilege to learn from some of the world's greatest miniature painters like Arnau Lazaro or Ivan Hortal. And I know how much one can learn from a motivated and enthousiastic teacher.

Everything you need is provided
Paints, brushes, palettes, tools, workspace. Plus a high-quality miniature printed by Silver Heron Studios! We also provide coffee, tea and some snacks. Of course, if you want you can bring your own miniature(s).

Every first Sunday of the month
From 14:00 until 18:00 we make sure to have enough time to get some painting done and dive deeper into the hobby of miniature painting. Disclaimer: Very seldomly we have to change the date due to events or other circumtances.

In an old, discontinued high security psychiatric ward. The "Oude Pieter Baan Centrum". A creative workspace that is now home to a variety of small companies and startups all connected to Art, Culture or Education.

We cover a variety of techniques
After a short introduction into the basic principles of miniature painting, we focus on techniques including dry-brushing, low layer glazing, shadow and light placement, washes and highlighting. Depending on your skill-level we have the time to dive a bit further into more advanced techniques like wet-blending, multi-layer glazing or NMM and OSL.
Price: 65 Euros p.p. including a high-quality miniature
Depending on the group size we have additional teachers joining the workshops to make sure that everyone gets a proper amount of attention and hands-on teaching.

We plan the appointment together
Depending on the availability of our venue(s) and painters, we can schedule the event according to your plans and wishes. Date, time and duration can all be set and planned accordingly.

We have access to multiple different venues in an old, discontinued high security psychiatric ward. The "Oude Pieter Baan Centrum". A creative workspace that is now home to a variety of small companies and startups all connected to Art, Culture or Education. If needed we can also pack up all our stuff and come visit you at home.

Plenty of techniques to dive into together
We can plan your workshop according to your interests or skill-level. Beginner or advanced. Plenty of opportunities to cover the basics or deep-dive into advanced techniques like wet-blending, multi-layer glazing, NMM or OSL.
Price: We ask a 150 Euros setup fee and then 15 Euros per person per hour
Depending on the group size we have additional teachers joining the workshops to make sure that everyone gets a proper amount of attention and hands-on teaching. For house-calls, prices can vary.
